Masters 2026: Here's everybody in the field (so far) at Augusta National

The road to Augusta National is becoming clearer, with 102 players already qualified for the 2026 Masters—87 of whom are expected to compete—thanks in part to new, globally-focused qualification criteria introduced this year.

The field expanded over the weekend with the addition of Argentina's Mateo Pulcini, who earned an invite by winning the Latin America Amateur Championship. He joins other newcomers like American Ryan Gerard, who secured his spot via the year-end Official World Golf Ranking top 50.

A significant change for 2026 is the introduction of automatic invitations for winners of several historic national opens, a move made in partnership with the R&A to promote the global game. The beneficiaries so far are:

  • Chris Gotterup (Scottish Open)

  • Marco Penge (Spanish Open)

  • Naoyuki Kataoka (Japan Open)

  • Tom McKibbin (Hong Kong Open)

  • Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (Australian Open)

The winner of March's South African Open will claim the final spot in this category.

“The Masters Tournament has long recognized the significance of having international representation among its invitees,” said Augusta National Chairman Fred Ridley.

Concurrently, the club narrowed another pathway: only PGA Tour events awarding full FedEx Cup points now grant a Masters exemption, excluding winners of the post-season FedEx Fall events.

With the field largely set, the remaining avenues to qualify are limited: win the South African Open, capture a full-point PGA Tour event before April, or crack the OWGR top 50 the week before the tournament. The stage is now being set for what promises to be one of the most internationally diverse Masters fields in history.
