Edwards has 26 points to help Wolves beat Heat 122-94

The Minnesota Timberwolves continued their strong form with a commanding 122-94 victory over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night, securing their second win over Miami in four days and extending their winning streak to three games.

Anthony Edwards, playing through a foot injury that had him listed as questionable, led all scorers with 26 points. He knocked down a team-high five three-pointers and was efficient from the free-throw line, going 5-for-6. His performance was only hindered by foul trouble, which limited his minutes in the first and third quarters.

The Timberwolves displayed balanced scoring and dominance on the boards. Jaden McDaniels contributed 19 points, while Rudy Gobert controlled the paint with 13 points and 17 rebounds. Julius Randle added a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, including a crucial deep three-pointer as the shot clock expired late in the third quarter to extend the lead.

For the Miami Heat, Norman Powell led the way with 21 points. Tyler Herro returned from an 11-game absence due to a toe injury, scoring 17 points off the bench—a rare reserve role for him in recent seasons.

Minnesota methodically built on a seven-point halftime lead throughout the second half. A strong closing stretch to the third quarter, highlighted by Randle's three and two quick threes from Dante DiVincenzo, pushed the advantage to 16 points entering the final period. The Wolves' dominance allowed both teams to clear their benches with over four minutes remaining.

The Heat will look to regroup on the road against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday. The Timberwolves, meanwhile, will aim to continue their winning ways when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night.
