Indiana football lands commitment from top transfer offensive lineman
Indiana football has been loading up in the transfer portal for next season during its run through the College Football Playoff. Today, it added one of the top offensive linemen available.
Joe Brunner, a redshirt junior offensive lineman formerly of Wisconsin, committed to join the Hoosiers as a transfer, per On3/Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. An interior lineman, he’s rated as a 4-star prospect and ranks as the 3rd highest-rated interior lineman and 89th highest-rated prospect overall. He’s spent the past four seasons with the Badgers, redshirting as a freshman and starting in 2024 and 2025.
Having joined Wisconsin in 2022, Brunner is a former recruit of current Indiana offensive line coach Bob Bostad, who didn’t remain on staff when Luke Fickell took over as the Badgers head coach ahead of that 2023 season. Brunner would be the second Wisconsin transfer and former Bostad recruit to start for Indiana after the Hoosiers added Drew Evans ahead of the 2024 season.
